How it works…
You are required to join IAM RoadSmart as an Associate Member. You will then be allocated to your local Group, via the ‘Advanced Driver Course‘ package,
After becoming an Associate member, you will then be allocated your nominated Observer who will coach you, to get you ‘test ready’ with up to 12 ‘observed’ runs. On your journey to become a safer and better driver. as part of your IAM RoadSmart package. During the ‘observed’ runs, you will receive guidance on safe, positive driving techniques.
You will be able to have a demonstration drive with one of our qualified Observers, in their car.
Once ready for the advanced test, you will be recommended to take an independent assessment check with another Observer. All being well the group will arrange your assessment with IAM RoadSmart with one of the local IAM RoadSmart Examiners.
On passing the advanced test you will become a full member of IAM RoadSmart with an *invitation to join your local group
If your IAM RoadSmart membership has expired, but you would like to join the Edinburgh & District Group of Advanced Motorists, why not join as a Group Supporter.
